STAY TUNED FOR THE
2011 FESTIVAL SCHEDULE!!

THANK YOU for making the Water Festival a HUGE success!  As a first year festival with excellent and diverse programming, we moved forward as a community, building on a cultural statement that addresses water topics in creative and proactive ways!  From some immediate response, favorites were the theatrical performance, film festival, policy panel, round table brainstorms, and water ritual.  What do you think?

If you attended the festival, or even if you did NOT attend, please take a few short minutes to fill out this fun and simple survey that will help shape future projects and programs.  Your voice is important!

We need your continued support for The Water Project 2011. Tucson Arts Brigade, the non-profit organization that presented the festival, is also needing general operating support to continue the awesome work we do, including the development of a city-wide mural arts program! We are currently raising funds for a water mural and performance.

Your tax-deductible donations are vital for creative education projects and community participation for a more sustainable future:

THE WATER PROJECT celebrates, educates, and facilitates creative and proactive problem-solving to protect our most precious and endangered resource – water. The festival promotes conservation and responsible development with businesses, organizations, city/county departments, and individuals.

THE WATER PROJECT is developed through many collaborations- artists, scientists, politicians, educators, developers, water conservationists, city planners, youth, and other community members interested in addressing water issues from various angles. The festival focuses on creative communication – the key to educate to motivate necessary change.

THE WATER PROJECT initiates Tucson’s own World Water Week, scheduled to coincide with other countries and cities celebrating the international observance of World Water Day, an initiative that grew out of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED).
